Hari Raya Aidilfitri is celebrated by Muslims all over the world in conjunction of the ending of Ramadhan or fasting month. In Malaysia, everyone is invited in to a person's home when they are having an open house celebration regardless of what religion and background they come from so visitors and tourists are most welcome to join in the celebration.

After one whole month of fasting, the highlight of the celebration is definitely the food! Popular cuisines served during this time of the month include beef rendang, ayam masak merah (Tomato & Chilli Chicken), ketupat, lemang and chicken kurma. Enjoy the colours as little lights illuminate the night around the town and Malay houses!

Ai Lee is a born and bred Bruneian. After working for 11 years with a major airline based in Brunei, she had the feeling within that something was not complete.
