The tour begins with pick-up from designated hotel. Proceed for visit to the Tua Pek Kong temple, the oldest Chinese temple in Sarawak, built in 1876 and view the Fort Margarita from Kuching Waterfront. Later, proceed to the modern Civic Center to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Drive pass St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the Syariah (Muslim) Court, traditional Malay houses built on stilts and the mosque built along the riverbank. Winding through the heart of the city, look out for the majestic Astana, the former palace of the White Rajahs, now the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak. Stop for few minutes in front of the old colonial Court House, complete with a Clock Tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of the second White Rajah, Charles Brooke. The highlight of the tour is the visit of the Sarawak Museum, one of the finest in South East Asia. It is a treasure house of artifacts and exhibits with great archaeological and cultural significance. After that, transfer back to your hotel.
